WHEN THINKING OF SUPERCARS, THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND IS THEIR UNIMAGINABLE SPEED. THIS ARCHITECTURE DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM THAT VERY CONCEPT IN ITS DESIGN.

INSTEAD OF DESIGNING THE BUILDING FORM IN A STRAIGHTFORWARD MANNER ALIGNED WITH THE LAND BOUNDARIES, YAN ARCHITECTS ADJUSTED EACH FLOOR TO TWIST AND TURN. THIS DYNAMIC FLOW REFLECTS THE SPEED AND ENERGY ASSOCIATED WITH SUPERCARS.

ANOTHER UNFORGETTABLE ASPECT OF SUPERCARS IS THEIR BOLD COLORS. THEREFORE, YAN ARCHITECTS DELIBERATELY CHOSE A METALLIC BLACK FOR THE BUILDING TO ALLOW THE SUPERCARS TO STAND OUT AS THE TRUE HIGHLIGHT.

ANOTHER RESULT OF USING METALLIC BLACK AS THE MAIN COLOR IN THE SHOWROOM INTERIOR IS THE CREATION OF A CLASSY ATMOSPHERE IN THE LOUNGE AREA, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL FOR WELCOMING VIP CLIENTS.

THE CLEAR DESIGN LANGUAGE ENHANCES THE IMPACT OF THE INTERIOR DECOR, WHICH IS WHY THE ARCHITECT PAID CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVEN THE SMALLEST DETAILS, SUCH AS THE WINE RACK. ITS DYNAMIC FORM IS IN HARMONY WITH THE OVERALL ARCHITECTURAL LANGUAGE OF THE BUILDING.

WHILE THE INTERIOR DESIGN MAINLY FOCUSES ON BLACK TO MAKE THE SUPERCARS STAND OUT, FOR THE LOTUS BRAND ZONE, YAN ARCHITECTS HAD TO PRIORITIZE THE COLORS SPECIFIED BY THE BRAND’S CI (CORPORATE IDENTITY) TO MAINTAIN THE BRAND AWARENESS AND INTEGRITY.

FOR A LUXURY BRAND LIKE SUPERCARS, ONE ESSENTIAL AREA THAT CANNOT BE OVERLOOKED IN THIS COMPLEX IS A ROOM DESIGNED FOR MEDIA AND PRESS, USED TO PROMOTE NEW CAR MODELS.

IN ADDITION TO THE CARS, COLLECTORS ALSO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO MEMORABILIA. THE DESIGN OF THIS AREA WAS INTENTIONALLY CRAFTED BY YAN ARCHITECTS TO RESEMBLE A SMALL MUSEUM, WITH LIGHTING FOCUSED SOLELY ON THE DISPLAYED ITEMS TO HIGHLIGHT THEIR IMPORTANCE.

ADDITIONALLY, THERE ARE SEVERAL SMALLER ROOMS THAT DISPLAY THE ORIGINS AND HISTORY OF AUTOMOTIVE PARTS, REFLECTING THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND CRAFTSMANSHIP INVOLVED IN THEIR PRODUCTION.

THIS COMPLEX FEATURES SEVERAL MINI BARS WHERE COLLECTORS CAN EXCHANGE IDEAS ABOUT THE CARS THEY OWN. WHILE THE DESIGN DETAILS OF EACH ZONE MAY DIFFER TO CREATE INTERESTING SPACES, YAN ARCHITECTS ENSURED THAT PLAYFUL DESIGN ELEMENTS WERE INCORPORATED TO MAINTAIN A HARMONIOUS CONNECTION BETWEEN ALL AREAS.
